The Eastern Region is the largest of the seven regions, uniting 61 chapters across the District of Columbia and eight states. We proudly represent more than 3,000 mother members and over 11,000 family members who lead in their professions, serve in their communities, and invest wholeheartedly in their children’s futures. Youth leadership and development are not simply priorities—they are our purpose. Every program, service initiative, and gathering is designed to help our children grow in confidence, character, cultural pride, and leadership.

Our 2025–2027 regional theme,

“Rooted in Heritage, Rising in Purpose: A Sankofa-Inspired Journey of Leadership and Legacy,”

reminds us that our past informs our future. Guided by the principle of Sankofa, we honor those who came before us while preparing our children to lead with compassion, purpose, and pride.

The Mighty Eastern Region is known for dynamic programming that inspires growth and connection. Our flagship experiences include Camp Atwater, the Middle School Leadership Symposium, Regional College Fairs, the Martha’s Vineyard Family Affair, and Tennis with Santa. These programs create meaningful opportunities for leadership development, academic readiness, cultural enrichment, and family engagement.

Our impact is strengthened through our Centers of Excellence—Membership, Programming, Financial, Infrastructure, and Events. Led by our phenomenal regional leadership team, these focus areas ensure we operate with excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
