A member of the Durham Chapter, Claudia Curtis’ service in various leadership roles in Jack and Jill provided unique opportunities to deepen her understanding of the organization and prepared her to do more. As chapter vice president, she managed new member intake, developed programming to strengthen member relationships and led the chartering of our Associates group. As president, Claudia set strategy and improved chapter operations. During her service as Regional Bylaws Chair, she helped members navigate Jack and Jill’s governing documents and empowered them to participate in the national bylaw amendment process. As Regional Secretary and Regional Director, she engaged in every phase of the member experience, including a new chapter installation, anniversary celebrations, conflict management and the sadness of chapter dissolution. Most recently, as National Membership Chair, Claudia partnered with other leaders to develop much-needed resources, highlight best practices and provide guidance to chapters throughout our organization.
She has dedicated her time and talent to uplifting our organization and demonstrated commitment to our guiding principles and ideals. We can focus our national and regional dialogue on the issues that matter most — that can and will make a difference in the lives of our children and our families. We can ensure that Jack and Jill not only provides an enriching leadership experience for our children but also a fun, supportive, fulfilling environment for our members themselves, along with our families.NEXT PREVIOUS close
