Regional Director’s Greeting

Greetings,

I am honored to serve as the Regional Director of the Confident and Captivating Central Region. Central Region spans the heartland of America, from the mighty Mississippi River to the rustic Rocky Mountains. Current chapters are located in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

As we move into our 2012 – 2013 programming year, we are primed to empower our youth focusing on leadership development, cultural heritage and community service. Chapters will implement programs targeting leadership in action, healthy living, cultural heritage and community service. We’ll begin our year reviewing organizational information during our Fall Mother’s Workday as we celebrate “Back to Basics – Remix”. Spring Youth Clusters will offer inspiring opportunities for our children and teens to experience “Leadership in Action”.  Our teens will exhibit great potential through leadership and service during our Teen Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas. We will culminate our regional programming experience in Oklahoma City as we celebrate the “Power and Potential of Central Region” during our Mother’s Conference.

On behalf of Regional Treasurer Carla Williams-Evans, Regional Secretary Nicole Singleton, Regional Member at Large Tamela Franks, and myself we thank you for your untiring dedication and support. The stage for success has been set – expect nothing less!
