Joli Cooper-Nelson

National President

Joli C. Cooper-Nelson is a founding member of CSW Private Equity Investments, LLC, a New York based private equity firm specializing in leverage buyouts and recapitalizations of middle market manufacturing, distribution and service companies in the general industrial and consumer products sectors.

Ms. Cooper-Nelson has over 30 years of domestic and international marketing, finance and general management experience with top tier consumer products companies including Nestle USA, Tropicana, Seagram and Vitality Beverages. Areas of expertise include strategic planning, marketing, market research and new product development.

Prior to founding CSW, Ms. Cooper-Nelson was senior vice president and chief marketing officer with Vitality Beverages, Inc., one of the largest dispensed beverage manufacturers in North America.   In addition, she was president and chief operating officer of Pasco Brands, Inc., at one time the largest private label juice manufacturer in the United States.

Ms. Cooper-Nelson was the recipient of the 2002 Wharton Alumnae of the Year Award; The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business Award and has been featured in a number of business publications, including the cover of Beverage Industry and Working Mother.

Committed to the Greater Tampa community, Ms. Cooper-Nelson is a member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She has served on several nonprofit boards including United Way of Tampa Bay; The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce; Junior Achievement; The Children’s Home and The Notre Dame Club.  Currently, she is a member of the board’s governance committee and chairs the strategic planning committee of Academy Prep Center of Tampa. She is also on the board of directors of privately held, Berkshire Blanket and Sqwincher Corporation.

Ms. Cooper-Nelson holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
